Chris Hughton will be unveiled on March 20 in Kumasi.


Chris Hughton, the new coach of the Black Stars, will be introduced in Kumasi on March 20, 2023, prior to Ghana's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.

Former Brighton and Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has named a 25-man squad and is expected to arrive in Ghana to begin preparations for the doubleheader.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has informed the public that a ceremony will be held so that the 63-year-old can interact with the media.

In their announcement, the GFA also stated that the coach will share his vision and ideology with the public.

"Black Stars Head Coach Chris Hughton will be introduced in Kumasi on March 20, 2023, as part of the buildup to the match against Angola.

"The former Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur manager will be introduced to the media in Kumasi to share his vision, ideology, and expectations.

"The first meeting between the coach and the media in Kumasi will be an opportunity for the Football Association to disclose the manager's objectives, terms of engagement, and other pertinent information.

The time and location will be announced officially in the coming days.

The Black Stars will host Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for the first time since 2010, before traveling to Angola for the return leg as both teams attempt to qualify for the 2023 African Cup of Nations to be held in Ivory Coast.
