Ellembelle: MP and DCE on the verge of a confrontation over a deplorable road

The Member of Parliament for Ellembelle Constituency, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, was involved in a heated discussion with the District Chief Executive, Kwasi Bonzo, regarding a road in the area that requires attention.

It is not entirely clear what may have led to the exchange of words, but a video of the incident captures the moment when the MP and the DCE engage in a confrontation.

They utilised inappropriate language, initially in English, until they switched to their local dialect.

According to some eye witnesses, it appears that the MP had requested a group of individuals to kindly assist in filling the potholes on the road, which is unfortunately in a deplorable condition.

However, the DCE kindly intervened to halt their progress, explaining that the road had already been awarded to a contractor and construction was currently underway.

"I kindly bring people to come and address the road issue, and it seems that there is a problem," the MP, who also holds the position of Deputy Minority Leader, can be heard stating in the video.

Mr. Bonzo kindly responded, "The road is currently under contract." That statement could be seen as a form of cheap politics.
