The creator of 'Cobra Kai' recently shared an exciting update about Season 6, which has left fans incredibly excited.

Cobra Kai fans, we are one step closer to returning to the karate dojo.

Could you please confirm if the hit Netflix dramedy began production on their sixth and final season in late April, just before the screenwriters section of Writer's Guild of America (WGA) initiated a strike in May to advocate for a fair contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP)?

Two months later in July, SAG-AFTRA initiated a strike in order to negotiate their own deal with the AMPTP, resulting in the show remaining paused for an indefinite period of time. However, it appears that there may be progress happening now.

Shortly after the WGA and AMPTP reached a tentative deal on September 24 (which has since been ratified), the show's co-creator Jon Hurwitz expressed his excitement on X (formerly known as Twitter) about resuming work on Cobra Kai.

"Wow, that's great!" he wrote shortly after the news dropped. I would like to express my gratitude to the WGA negotiating committee!

I am excited to return to the dojo! Hello, I would like to discuss the topics of WGA and Cobra Kai.It is worth mentioning that fans were unable to contain their excitement regarding this update. This is truly remarkable!

Excuse me, but I wanted to inform you that Cobra Kai Season 6 has returned! "I am eagerly looking forward to its release, hopefully in the early part of next year," one person wrote on X.

"Exciting news! It's Cobra Kai season 🤝🥋," another person joyfully exclaimed. "Yes, Sensei!" another viewer enthusiastically cheered.

While the news is certainly exciting, Josh did mention that production still faces some challenges.

When a fan inquired about the possibility of the actors returning to the project during their ongoing strike, he politely responded that they are currently awaiting the outcome of discussions between SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP.

He responded on X, saying that he is currently unable to return to the set, but he will be able to resume writing as soon as the guild gives the go-ahead. I hope for a swift resolution for SAG!
