The police have successfully restored calm in the aftermath of the riots that occurred in Ofankor.

The police have initiated a search for individuals responsible for the burning of tyres and blocking of roads at Ofankor on Wednesday, September 20.

The police have kindly assured that calm has been restored.

However, it was mentioned that investigations were promptly initiated into the incident.

The Ghana Police Service stated on Wednesday that the investigation thus far suggests that the riot was connected to a land litigation issue.

It kindly mentioned that it has taken measures to enhance security in the area, and as a result, the road has been reopened for normal traffic flow.

The investigation is ongoing in order to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they are held accountable for their actions.
