Something deeply tragic happened in my neighbourhood this morning.
The police have apprehended a driver, with one officer entering the vehicle, while the others followed behind.
While en route to the police station, near the Okota roundabout, the driver made an unexpected attempt to divert onto Ago Palace Way. During the incident, there was a disagreement between the police officer and the driver regarding control of the steering wheel.
Unfortunately, both parties lost control, resulting in an unfortunate collision with a tricycle. Inside the tricycle, there were a woman, her two children, and the rider. Unfortunately, all of them lost their lives. May their souls rest in peace.
In the aftermath, bystanders respectfully engaged in discussions about the incident, expressing concerns about the police's effectiveness in performing their duties and the potential risks it posed to lives.
It appears that there is a significant need for the police to enhance their conduct. However, it is important for us, as responsible citizens, to take a moment to consider our own civility.
Tobe_stevee expressed that it would be appropriate for both the police officer and the driver to be held accountable for their actions.
In light of this unfortunate incident, concerned residents of the area expressed their frustration by setting a fire in the middle of the road. They are kindly requesting the prompt arrest of the police officer involved.
